Modern Art Cture: David Macaulay : The Art of Drawing Architecture
The drawings of David Macaulay are powerful visual storytellers.
For more than 30 years, since the publication of his first book Cathedral in1973, they have unearthed "the way things work."
Trained as an architect, Macaulay has long been fascinated by large-scale constructions and his accessible illustrations teach viewers to see-and understand-archite cture.The final consonants -b, -d, -g, and -r were dropped, and final semivowels appeared, to form diphthongs with the main vowel. The number of tones increased to four.
