Fine Art Ends: Tapestry is distinctly a rep weave, and the warp threads of the fabric are strongly accented, a feature that distinguishes it from cross-stitch needlework. In a very fine art ends tapestry, the warp threads are spaced about 24 to the inch, while in the coarser grades there may be as few as 8. The weft threads are woven between and around the warp threads, and are pushed together with a comb, so that the warp is completely hidden; they do not run across the fabric, but are used only so long as their particular color is needed m the pattern; they are then tied in a knot and their ends hang loosely at the rear. The tapestry is reversible if the loose ends are cut off.Cigars are classified basically by shape. The kinds include Coronas (round, straight, roundly blunt head), Panatelas (long, slender with straight sides, ends pointed or blunt), Perfectos (thick in the middle, slightly tapering at ends), Londres (cylindrical, blunt on one end), Bouquets (medium-sized with large belly, tapered at both ends), and Clubs (full-bodied, large). Cheroots and stogies, made of tobacco not used in standard cigars, are open at both ends and have no heads. Countless modifications exist, largely as a result of the use of machinery.
Where the spokes connect with the rim, set six-inch glazed Tile drainpipes vertically with their tops level with the ground surface and their lower ends opening into the agricultural tiles. Unlike the agricultural tiles, the glazed pipes should have sockets so that the end of one fits snugly into that of the next, and the joints should be cemented. The ends of the agricultural tiles are butted together and are not cemented. The vertical pipes may be filled with rough stones or left open. In either case their upper ends are covered with grids. |
