ROBERTS, Kenneth Lewis, American novelist : b. Kennebunk, Me., Dec. 8, 1885; d. Ken-nebunkport, July 21, 1957. He graduated from Cornell University in 1908, and worked for the Boston Post and Life and Puck magazines. During World War I he was an intelligence officer with the Siberian Expeditionary Force, and in 1919 joined the Saturday Evening Post as a staff correspondent. Roberts retired from journalism to write his first historical novel, Arundcl (1930, q.v.), in which he incorporated much history and lore of his native Maine.
