Camera Operator: Operator licenses may or may not be required depending on the equipment installed and the use of the craft. Use of a VHP radio in U.S. waters does not require any operator license. For operation of a Single Sideband radio, or any radio on a craft carrying six or fewer passengers for hire, the lowest grade of radio operator license—a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit—is adequate. For vessels carrying more than six passengers in commercial service, the operator must have a Marine Radiotelephone Operator Permit. A higher class license is available for people with technical training and experience, but they are needed only for making tuning adjustments and repairs.
camera operator, keep a written record in sequence of every shot. A girl can be posted to take names and addresses just before the pictures are taken, keep them numbered in order, and make sure that none of the children in the line trade places.
Every roll of film, then, should be numbered as it is taken from the Camera and that number should be retained as a permanent file number. Negatives from each roll then should be numbered before the film is cut up for printing, and each roll should be kept, from then on, in a separate envelope. This method, if adhered to scrupulously, will prevent mixup.
The front desk representative still has one essential duty left— informing the telephone operator of the guest's name and room number. The operator adds the name and room number to the constantly changing guest telephone directory. At some hotels, in-room telephones must be activated by the switchboard operator before they can be used by guests. |
