Camera Angles: This being the case, those meson trajectories most favorable for muon production are the ones that maximize the time spent by the mesons in the less dense upper atmosphere; these are the near-horizontal trajectories with large zenith angles. For this reason, it was anticipated that the muon intensity distribution would be markedly greater at these angles than at the smaller angles typical of near-vertical trajectories.
Shoot long shots: Take a picture from a distance which will
include the entire setting of the picnic. Take close-ups: Show people talking and laughing and having
fun together, to catch the spirit of the affair. Take extreme close-ups: Show someone taking a bite of hot
dog, symbolizing the picnic, and the closer you get to the
subject the better. Vary your Camera angles: Climb a tree and shoot downward.
Put the Camera on the ground to emphasize the legs of a
pretty girl. Use dramatic lighting: Make use of the sun for sidelighting
and backlighting in preference to shooting with the sun at
your back.
More complex visual observations include vertical and horizontal angles, danger angles, and combinations of relative bearings. Information on these and other piloting procedures will be found in Chapman: Piloting, Seamanship and Boat Handling. |
